We have suffered 7 years of “Hope and Change” and the president would have us believe “Happy Days are Here Again!” The “politics as usual” crowd stood and applauded enthusiastically, while those of us who live in the real world are left wondering what has become of our nation.
Flowery language, lofty thoughts, and empty promises have left nearly a third of Americans unemployed or under-employed. The average American household is taking home less, and having to spend more to survive, let along thrive.
We were promised affordable Health Care, a $2,500 decrease in health insurance premiums, and “if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor”. All were lies. Insurance premiums have skyrocketed, deductibles are well beyond what the average American can afford, and many households are one medical crisis away from bankruptcy. Access to doctors, let along the doctor of your choice, is worse than the “Queue” at Disney World…an appointment that once took days now may take weeks or months. Sarah Palin was right by the way; health care is being rationed and if you are over 80 years old…forget it!
While illegal immigrants, some of whom have and will create havoc in our nation economically, socially and morally, inundate our nation we are lectured it is un-American to demand that the immigration laws of our nation be enforced, the borders sealed, and that entrance to these United States is a privilege, not a right. Our Constitution states, “We the People of the United States”, not “We are the world”!
I am afraid many Americans are more than willing to “drink the Kool-Aid”, to borrow a phrase from the Jonestown tragedy of the late 1970’s, and believe America’s better days are ahead, even as the seeds for her destruction are planted by those who reject her Christian heritage and are bent on eroding our individual liberties.
Wake up, America before it is too late!
